IMPORTANT UCIC NOTE: ALL Course fees must paid in full 7 days before the first day of class, if at all possible. Texas LTC Course (TLTC)(Currently Enrolling)

This class will take place immediately following the USCCA Fundamental Handgun Course in the morning (8:00AM-11:00AM). The TLTC will start at 11:00AM and will end at 6:00PM with an hour long. You will get a Certificate of Completion for the USCCA Course and all the necessary paperwork for the LTC Course.

Texas LTC Laws LTC-16 states in these laws the requirements for demonstrating safe handling and operation of handguns and safe storage of firearms.  This includes the completion of a course designed to teach you these things. The morning USCCA Fundamental Handgun Course will take care of this requirement If you are enrolled in the LTC Course, it would be helpful for you to look at the LTC-16 prior to the course and prepare any questions you may have and a copy of the LTC-16 will provided to you. Firearms For Rent

gun-01Cost of Rentals: $25 for the use of one of CFT’s firearms, for Proficiency Testing purposes. If you have made arrangements for range assistance, the rental charge will apply for that day also. If you would like CFT to furnish Ammunition for an assistance range day or proficiency testing, there will be a charge of whatever the cost of ammunition is and we need advance notice ( .75 cents/round, give or take, or $25 +/- for 50 rounds).

Students are responsible for the care and proper treatment of rented firearms while they are in possession of the firearm.

Personal Assistance at the Range

Anyone who is registered for the Texas LTC Course, who is in need of further assistance prior to the course with shooting skills, email me, call me or let me know after your basic pistol/handgun course and I will make time to go to the range and help you in groups of up to four at no charge to you. You will have to pay for your range fee of $10.00 (pays for all day) plus your targets ($1.00 each) and furnish your ammunition, unless prior arrangements have been made. If there are less than four, that’s fine too. It will be for Saturday or Sunday only, two hours per group, two groups/day from 10:00am – 2:00pm. That should allow time for up to two groups of four. The total possible groups in two days is four. We are also NRA Certified Range Safety Officers. If you are renting one of CFT’s firearms for testing, I can bring it to the range for you to use (rental fee applies).

“Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals”:  This is the textbook used for the USCCA Courses and it is available through CarryOn Firearms Training. This book is a full color, 245 page, well illustrated, quality printed, keeper of a book! It is authored by Michael Martin, Chief Instructor for the USCCA and it is packed full of pertinent, educational information. Even if you never take a firearms class, this book is a great reference book everyone.

cc-magazine“Concealed Carry Magazine”:  This is the official Magazine of the USCCA and is one of the best magazines I have ever read. It is full of great articles, tips, gear reviews, gun reviews, clothing reviews, training options, legislative news, basically, you can find tons of different information in each addition. If it’s not in one issue, just wait for the next issue and eventually I bet you will see what you are looking for.
